Every child should know how to read!
Since 2007, Literacy and Hope, which was previously named My Child's Heart, has been affecting the community for good with our Building Godly Family Conferences, Christian resources, and money management program.
After encountering so many children who cannot read or who are reading below their grade level, we knew we had to add a reading coaching program to our foundation. Unfortunately, most parents in our target market cannot afford to hire a tutor.
We started a pilot of our coaching program in June 2023 with a 12th grader who couldn’t read. In six months, with the introduction of phonemic awareness, sight words, self-esteem building, and love; she is beginning to read 5-8 letter words. We have also seen success with our parent advocacy program. We partnered with a parent of a 4th grader in April during his IEP meeting and was successful in communicating with the school his needs, discussed changing his IEP program and now he is excited about attending school and has had success in the classroom and resource room. His parent has asked us to participate in his next IEP meeting.
With your help, we can open this program up to many children.

When you sponsor a child, 100% of your support will go towards a child's coaching cost.
WHAT YOUR SPONSORSHIP PROVIDES
Individualized Academic Learning Plan
Each child will be assessed, and a plan will be created to meet them where they are and move them to their designated grade.
Parent Advocacy Support
The family becomes a part of the Literacy and Hope community. We will partner with families to provide them with the necessary resources to navigate the state and school system in order to receive the resources needed for the child's success.
