WHY BUILDING GODLY FAMILY CONFERENCES?
75 percent of Christian young people fall away from the faith and leave the church after high school.
Because Christian families have allowed the world to dictate how they operate and God calls us to follow His plans for the family. A godly family cannot be built by accident but by clear intention, and it is very important that parents know God’s plan like the back of their hands. For those of you who have built a house, you and your builder started with a plan. If the contractor just built the house without a plan, what type of house do you think you would have? I can tell you that it wouldn’t be one that you would be proud of or want to live in. Just like building a house takes planning, so does creating a godly family. When a couple painstakingly goes through a four-month period to build their own home, they do it because of “sweat equity”. This concept is basically saying that there is amazing value in putting in the extra time and effort to build your own home. The same holds true when it comes to building a godly family. We need to start with a plan and our plan is the Word of God.
Because building a godly family takes planning, we want to equip families with biblical principles that will equip them to live for God and not the world that Satan owns and rules.
Our Program Focus.
1. Intentional Godly Parenting.
Becoming an intentional parent does not mean that you will be a perfect parent; but rather, an on-purpose parent. As parents, our greatest tendency is to react to our children rather than plan in advance. We are reactive because we have not developed a vision or goals for our family and children, we do not know how to be intentional in this area and we do not have anyone to hold us accountable. To put it plainly, we have not taken the time to evaluate the risk of not being intentional, that is, what is gained and what is lost by investing or not investing in our children. I think if we really thought about it, we would agree that there is much to gain by being intentional in our child’s spiritual development.

2. Communication 101 For Parents And Children.
Studies show we spend very little time talking with our kids, and when we do speak to them, it's often to tell them to do something or to correct a behavior. This type of communication is definitely necessary but should not be the only thing that we are communicating to our children. Just take a minute and think about the impact that negative communication has on you. If your boss or husband only talked to you when they had something negative to say or when they needed something, how would you feel about them? Would you dread talking to them? Absolutely! Well, children are no different. They need to feel love and that needs to come in the form of actions and words. Take a moment and think about the number of times you give your children positive, encouraging words versus complaints, criticisms, and discouraging words.
Are you talking but feel like no one is listening?
Parents and children will learn how words affect feelings and feelings affect behavior in this interactive seminar. Parents and children will learn effective ways to communicate with one another.
3. Parents Aren't My Enemy
Many times, children feel like their parents are against them or don’t understand them. Many feel like their parents are from Mars and have a different set of rules than other parents. In this KIDS ONLY seminar, kids will come to understand the godly role of parents and the benefits of obeying them. They will discover who and what could possibly be a true enemy (television, music, Internet, social media, and friends).
4. Family Bible Study Can Be Fun.
Is the Word of God so deep in your heart that you live it and discuss it daily with your children? In this seminar, you and your children will learn a fun and powerful way to discover God's truths from the Bible. You will observe, interpret, and apply the Bible through games, puzzles, and more! You and your family will become inductive Bible detectives with these awesome techniques.
